OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 5th round of the 2022 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Kemptville 73’s, Mountain, ON native Parker Holmes is getting better with every game that goes by in his rookie season of HEO U18 AAA.
A big bodied winger who is still growing, Holmes projects to be a power-forward with a scoring touch the next level. His ability to separate himself from defenders as well as simply out muscle them puts him in a league of his own. He is very solid in front of the net, whether he is providing a screen, battling for rebounds, or acting as a set-up man or finisher in tight, his touch around the net is exceptional. He makes good reads with and without the puck and for a player listed at 6-3, 180 lbs, he skates well and has good mobility.
So far this season, Holmes sits 5th overall in league scoring amongst rookies with 18 points (8G, 10A) in 15 games of action.
Prior to his time in HEO U18 AAA, Holmes came up through the Upper Canada Cyclones AAA and Rideau St. Lawrence Kings AA programs.
