OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 1st round of the 2022 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Nepean Raiders, Ottawa, ON native Quinn Beauchesne has shown flashes of brilliance early on in his rookie season of HEO U18 AAA.
Quinn is a slick 2-way defenseman with elite offensive instincts that can take over games from the back end with his relentless pace and offensive creativity. With a smooth skating stride and puck handling, every time Quinn is on the ice he creates offensive opportunities for his team, whether it is in the defensive zone by making crisp breakout passes, in the neutral zone by quarterbacking the transition game, or in the offensive zone as a puck-carrier and scoring threat. However, despite his affinity for creating offense, Quinn has also become a student of the defensive game and has made tremendous strides in learning how to use his speed and crisp edgework to neutralize the skillsets of his opponent’s top players.
Look for him to continue making improvements to his overall strength and defensive zone play, as he is also a very dedicated player that works extremely hard both in practice and in the gym.
On the season, Beauchesne sits second in league scoring among rookie defensemen with 10 points, 1G, 9A through 12 games of action.
Prior to playing U18AAA, Beauchesne came up through the Upper Canada Cyclones AAA and Gloucester Rangers AA Minor Hockey programs.
