Ottawa, ON – HEO U18 AAA is pleased to announce that Kanata Lasers Shean Donovan has been named 2019-20 Coach of the Year.
In his first season as Head Coach of Kanata, Donovan coached the Lasers to the second best record in the league at 32-9-1-3 while holding the top Goal Differential at +70.
Special Teams wise, Kanata finished 5th in Power Play % and 4th in Penalty Kill %, while they were a perfect 25-0 when leading after two periods of action. No team in the league performed better in the third period as they were tops in final frame goals with 69.
The Lasers would finish their season, crowned winners of the HEO U18 Championship Tournament, going a perfect 4-0-0, outscoring their opponents 19-5.
