Ottawa, ON – HEO U18 AAA is pleased to announce that Kanata Lasers Jorian Donovan has been named 2019-20 Prospect of the Year.

The 2004 born Richmond, ON native finished fifth among all league blueliners with 27 points (8G, 19A) in just 38 games. His 0.71 Pts/G was tops among all rookie defenders. He also represented the Robinson Division in the 2019-20 All-Star Showcase.

“Jorian is an extremely agile player at all ends of the ice,” said Lasers Assistant Coach Chris Phillips. “He is a smooth skating defenseman that loves to control the play.  His competitive nature makes him an effective defensive player, and his willingness to improve has made him a pleasure to coach. Jorian looks to have a bright future in hockey ahead of him.”

Prior to his time in HEO U18 AAA, Donovan manned the blue line at the Minor and Major Bantam AAA level for the Upper Canada Cyclones for two seasons.
