OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 4th round of the 2021 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Carleton Place Canadians, Nepean, ON native Thomas Dickey has been a top player for Carleton Place as a rookie in HEO U18 AAA.

Dickey is a hard-working two-way forward that can help shut a team down defensively and contribute offensively if needed. His strong forechecking and physicality allow him to force a lot of turnovers and convert them into offensive chances.

In the defensive zone, Dickey’s active stick and awareness take away passing lanes and limit the opponents high danger scoring chances. He can shut down powerplays on the penalty kill as well as be a net front presence on the powerplay. Dickey’s work ethic and compete will lead him to success in the game.

Through 28 games, Dickey sits 6th overall among rookie HEO U18 AAA skaters with 24 points (11G, 13A).

Prior to playing U18 AAA, Dickey came up through the Ottawa Myers AAA and Nepean Raiders AA programs.
