OTTAWA, ON – Drafted in the 7th round of the 2021 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Smiths Falls Bears, Stittsville, ON native Spencer Evans has been on an absolute tear in his rookie season of HEO U18 AAA.
Evans is a smooth skating defenseman with a high hockey IQ who makes a good first pass and can easily jump into any rush to chip in offensively. His ability to read the ice extremely well and make quick educated decisions make him a great power-play quarterback.
Through 22 games, Evans leads all HEO rookie defenders with 18 points (3G, 15A), while logging over 20 minutes of action each game.
Prior to playing U18 AAA, Evans came up through the Ottawa Valley Titans AAA and Ottawa Valley Silver Seven AA programs.
