OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 2nd round of the 2021 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Ottawa Junior Senators, Nepean, ON native Lucas Leblanc has put together a very strong freshman campaign in HEO U18 AAA.

Leblanc is an explosive winger who leverages his speed to create separation from defenders and generate scoring chances for himself and his teammates. He possesses a lethal wrist shot that he frequently uses when cutting into the middle of the ice off the rush.

In addition to leveraging his shooting capabilities, he has shown off his playmaking ability as he is able to find teammates who are in dangerous shooting positions. Additionally, the winger has shown high-level hockey intelligence by demonstrating awareness and keen positioning in all zones of the ice, especially on the forecheck as he forces countless turnovers.

Leblanc also applies continuous pressure on the backcheck which is crucial in regaining possession and driving play into the offensive zone, where Leblanc thrives.

Through 30 games of action, Leblanc has totaled 23 points (12G, 11A).

Prior to playing U18 AAA, Leblanc came up through the Ottawa Myers AAA and Nepean Raiders AA programs.
