HEO Midget AAA is pleased to announce that ‘2000 born Ottawa, ON native Conor Corrigan has been named the leagues Goaltender of the Year for 2017-18.

In his 2nd season with the Kanata Lasers Midget AAA program, Corrigan finished with 15 Wins (2nd in league), a 1.83 GAA (4th), a .928 SV% (3rd), and 4 Shutouts (3rd).

Kanata finished 10th among the 12 teams in Goals For with 105 but finished 3rd overall in Goals Against with 95, Corrigan and goalie partner rookie Tye Austin were huge reasons for this.

A model of consistency all season long, Corrigan rebounded from all 6 of his losses with victories the next time out. He also represented HEO and helped backstop the 2000-01 Ottawa Capitals to a 1st place finish at the Peterborough Tournament of Champions.  In 43 career regular season starts, he has gone 28-14-2 with a 2.17 GAA and .920 SV%.

“Conor is hands down the top goaltender in the league,” said Lasers Head Coach Nathan Hewitt. “He’s also a great leader and a big reason we finished so high in the regular season.”

Corrigan was selected in the 1st round, 7th overall by the Kanata Lasers in the 2016 CCHL Draft.
