OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 4th round of the 2022 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Ottawa Junior Senators, Oliver Plante has shown game-breaking ability in his rookie season of HEO U18 AAA.
Plante may lack size but pound for pound is one of the fiercest competitors on the ice each game. The biggest part of his game are his physicality/feistiness and speed. He doesn’t get pushed around much and will do what he can to ensure he wins puck battles. He is well positioned and provides support along the walls as well for his defensemen in the defensive zone. He has excellent vision and playmaking ability to boot.
So far this season, the Ottawa, ON native has registered 23 points (9G, 14A) through 21 games of action.
He is a product of the Eastern Ontario Wild AAA and Ottawa Sting AA hockey programs.
