ROOKIE SPOTLIGHT | JACK LABRASH | BROCKVILLE BRAVES

OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 5th round of the 2022 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Brockville Braves, Brockville, ON native Jack LaBrash continues to take strides in his rookie HEO U18 AAA campaign.

A rangy centerman who is still filling into his frame, LaBrash goes to the tough areas of the ice and is a threat in front of the net. He works hard down-low and uses his size to create space for his teammates. His skating and transition game continue to improve each and every game as he gains more confidence.

“Jack has been one our most consistent players all season long,” said Braves Head Coach Rob Kennedy. “At the Ottawa Tournament he stepped his game up by doing what was asked of him with veteran players out with suspensions and injuries. He plays a physical 200ft game that creates time and space for not only himself but his teammates as well. He has also emerged as one of our leaders on and off the ice by putting the work in during practices and games.”

In 19 games this season, LaBrash sits tops among rookie skaters on the Braves with 8 points (4G, 4A).

Prior to his time in HEO U18 AAA, Barton came up through Upper Canada Cyclones AAA and Rideau St. Lawrence AA programs.
