OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 2nd round of the 2021 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Rockland Nationals, Navan, ON native Tyler Smith continues to fine tune all elements of his game in his second year of HEO U18 AAA.
Amongst the elite skaters and skilled players in the league, Tyler has a work ethic that is unmatched by many players,” said Nationals Head Coach Brian Gillam. “He plays 200 feet shift in and shift out and despite his offensive tools, he has the greatest appreciation for playing without the puck and defending. He has an uncanny ability to play out of small space under pressure and create space for teammates. His speed and puck possession skills allow him to attack seams with lightening pace and get inside the dots for scoring chances. His passion for the game is immeasurable and on display every shift.”
