Five players from HEO U18 AAA selected in OHL U18 Draft

OTTAWA, ON – After seeing twenty-nine 2005 born players taken in the OHL Priority Selection last week in what was arguably the most successful draft for that age group ever, HEO U18 AAA saw five more skaters taken in the OHL U18 Draft which is strictly for 2004 and 2003 born skaters. In total, 34 players from the Eastern Ontario region now find themselves members of Ontario Hockey League organizations. 

Forward Tyler Bono (Brockville Braves) was selected by the Peterborough Petes 13th overall, forward Hunter Neil (Kemptville 73’s) went 26th overall to the hometown Ottawa 67’s, goaltender Ian Michelone (Renfrew Wolves) was taken 36th overall by the Flint Firebirds, defenseman Michael MacLean (Nepean Raiders) went 43rd overall by the Flint Firebirds, and forward Landon Brownlee (Hawkesbury Hawks) was taken 47th overall by the Kingston Frontenacs.
