Ottawa, ON – HEO U18 AAA is pleased to announce that Ottawa Jr Senators Jacob Osborne has been named 2019-20 Goaltender of the Year. He becomes the first goaltender since reception of HEO U18 AAA to receive back-to-back honours as he also won the award during the 2018-19 season.

The 2003 born Gloucester, ON native posted an outstanding record of 18-3-1, while holding a 1.81 GAA, .934 SV%, and 5 shutouts to help the Jr Senators finish first place in the regular season standings.

“We are extremely proud to have one of our goalies selected as HEO U18 AAA Goalie of the Year,” said Jr Senators Head Coach Steve Malette. “Ozzy joins Ottawa 67’s Cedric (Ceddy) Andree as an OJS goaltender receiving such a prestigious award and is a true testament to Ozzy’s overall hard work and determination, as he joined the OJS team two seasons ago as an undrafted player.

“The goaltending tandem of Osborne and Connor Baillie was instrumental in our team’s overall success in finishing atop of the regular season standings, allowing only 79 goals in 45 games (1.75 GAA). Ozzy is a perfect example to all undrafted players that success is a choice and accomplishments come to those who work hard. The future looks bright for this young man at the Junior level, as long as he maintains the level of commitment and hard work that we have seen over the past 2 seasons.”
