Pembroke crowned 2018-19 HEO Midget AAA Champions, advance to Central Region Telus Cup

Ottawa, ON – The Pembroke Lumber Kings are the 2018-19 HEO Midget AAA Champions after defeating defending champion Rockland Wednesday night, going 2-0-1 in the first to 4-point series. Pembroke becomes the fourth different team in the fourth season of HEO Midget AAA to be crowned league champion. Next up in the Central Region Telus Cup in Clarington, ON April 1-7.

 

GM1 – PEMBROKE 5 ROCKLAND 1

Jake Coleman scored twice, Brayden Dellaire, Tyson Tomasini, and Isaac Enright also scored, while Andrew Cristea made 19-saves.

 

GM 2 – PEMBROKE 3 ROCKLAND 3

Tyson Tomasini, Jaydon Blanchard, and Connor Peplinksie found the net for Pembroke, while Andrew Cristea made 22-saves.

Zach Power, Luke Haymes, and Mason Carter tallied for Rockland, while Dylan Kosik made 26-saves.

 

GM 3 – PEMBROKE 5 ROCKLAND 1

Mason McTavish scored all five Pembroke goals on the night, while Andrew Cristea made 23-saves as Pembroke became the fourth different team in the fourth season of HEO Midget AAA to be crowned league champion. 

 

They will now represent Hockey Eastern Ontario at the Central Region Telus Cup in Clarington, ON April 1-7.
