OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 1st round of the 2021 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Pembroke Lumber Kings, Ottawa, ON native Xavier Beauchamp has easily been one of the most physical players among all HEO U18 AAA skaters this season.

At 6’5, Beauchamp delivers a physical presence to a very young Pembroke U18 defensive core. While clearly being one of the most physical players within the U18 league, Beauchamp recognizes the importance of the message of Head Coach Daniel Alfredsson and this staff of putting team before self and incorporating all of the tools necessary to succeed.

Beauchamp is a player who comes to the rink everyday with a good attitude and the willingness to learn and get better.  He is a player who is well liked by his teammates and will stick up for anyone. With continued development and a refined approach to the defensive position, Xavier is a player who soon find himself playing at a higher level.

Through 20 games of action, Beauchamp has totaled 4 points (2G, 2A), while averaging close to 20 minutes per game.

Prior to his time with the Canadians, Beauchamp came up through the Ottawa Jr 67’s AAA and Gloucester Rangers AA programs.
