ROOKIE SPOTLIGHT | JOHN COLLINS-WILLIAMS | KEMPTVILLE 73’S

OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 1st round of the 2022 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Kemptville 73’s, John-Collins Williams has remained at the top of the scoring charts among rookie skaters all season long in HEO U18 AAA

A winger with a heavy shot who goes to the tough areas of the ice, including the goal mouth where he cleans up a lot of rebounds. He has good vision to find open teammates as he can act as both a passer and shooter. His strong body positioning in the slot and goal mouth area make it easy for him to be ready to get pucks on net as he is not easy to move. He is always ready to pull the trigger which both leads to goals and assists. Has good hand-eye coordination which make him very dangerous when given any space in front of the net.

On the season, Collins-Williams sits 4th overall in rookie scoring with 37 points (15G, 22A) through 29 games of action.

Prior to his time with the 73’s, the Ottawa, ON native came up through the Ottawa Jr. 67’s AAA and Ottawa Sting AA programs.
