OTTAWA, ON – The Nepean Raiders are the 2021-22 HEO U18 AAA Champions after sweeping Navan in their best-of-five series. Next up, Nepean will head to Toronto to represent Hockey Eastern Ontario in the Central Region Championships hosted by the Toronto Young Nationals which run April 4-10.
GAME 1 – NEPEAN 5 NAVAN 0
Nicholas Larkin, Treyson Dewar, Brayden Melenhorst, Grayden Robertson-Palmer, and Luka Benoit scored, while Dom Amodeo pitched a 17-save shutout for the win.
GAME 2 – NEPEAN 5 NAVAN 3
Nicholas Larkin scored twice, Treyson Dewar, Brett Hammond, and Will Hughes scored singles, while Jaden Cholette made 18-saves in the victory. Navan had goals from Danik Marion, Nathan Villeneuve, and Sam Glover, while Mathis Mainville made 25-saves in the loss.
GAME 3 – NEPEAN 4 NAVAN 0
Luka Benoit had two goals, Luke Posthumus and Cole Beaudoin added singles, while Dom Amodeo made 21-saves for his second shutout of the finals. Owen Wilgos finished with 33-saves for the Grads.
