OTTAWA, ON – HEO U18 AAA is pleased to announce that Kemptville 73’s goaltender Braxton Bennett has been voted 2022-23 Top Goaltender by the league coaching staffs.
The 2006 born Stittsville, ON native posted a record of 22-4-1-2 while holding a strong .913 SV%, and 2.69 GAA. He finished 2nd overall in Minutes Played (1739), Wins (22), and Saves (816).
A competitive hard-working net-minder, Bennett took the reins full-time for a two-month period this season when partner Sammy Malhotra went down with an injury in early December. Bennett had win streaks of 10 and 6 games while picking up ten 30+ save victories on the year.
In 46 career U18AAA regular season games, Bennett is 33-9-1-2 with a 2.71 GAA, .912 SV%, and 2 Shutouts.
He was drafted by the OHL’s Guelph Storm during the 2022 OHL Priority Selection.
