OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 2nd round of the 2021 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Brockville Braves, Oxford Mills, ON native Hunter McKnight has been a strong presence down the middle, being counted on in big moments of games in his rookie year of HEO U18 AAA.
McKnight is a skilled power-forward who has the ability to take over a game on any given night. He is a player who does not shy away from the physical side of the game as he not only finishes his checks, but has the ability to absorb incoming checks and battle through them.
His down-low ability and presence in front of the net is top tier among HEO skaters of all ages. His combination of size and skill will surely attract attention from OHL clubs.

Through 20 games of action, McKnight sits 11th overall in league rookie scoring with 14 points (5G, 9A).
Prior to playing U18 AAA, McKnight came up through the Ottawa Valley Titans AAA and Ottawa Valley Silver Seven AA programs.
