OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 1st round of the 2021 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Smiths Falls Bears, Stittsville, ON native Danil Zabednov has been a goal-scoring machine this season in the HEO U18 AAA league.
An explosive North-South player who although is a bit undersized, makes up for it with his quick deceptive release. He is a very shifty player in the offensive zone and can hurt opposing defenders by finding soft areas in the slot. He is very dangerous on the powerplay as when given time and space he can beat opposing goaltenders with his great shot.

On the season, Zabednov sits 7th overall in rookie points with 14 (10G, 4A) through 15 contests. His 10 goals ranks 4th among the 2006 age group.
Prior to his time playing for Smiths Falls, he spent time with both the Ottawa Valley Titans AAA and Ottawa Valley Silver Seven AA programs.
